The Dark Horse

History of the Term "Dark Horse"

Benjamin Disraeli (1804-1881).
The story of the term "Dark Horse" is murky, but the first recognized use of the term comes from The Young Duke, an 1831 novel by British writer Benjamin Disraeli.  He references the term when talking of a horse in a race.

"A dark horse which had never been thought of, and which the careless St. James had never even observed in the list, rushed past the grandstand in sweeping triumph."
Today, this term is a descriptive device used in context to describe a person, organization or anything such which has within it the potential to overcome adversity, opposition and odds.  It is also, often erroneously, referenced in religious context as a general allusion to the so-called "Four Horsemen," of the Apocalypse, the four scourges which afflict mankind during the End Times.  This is erroneous in that there is no evidence of the term being used in any religious text.  In fact, the term is actually one of endearment and hope in many ways, as it is used to reference one who lurks in the shadows, waiting for their moment, to rise to aid of all concerned.  This is the legacy of the Dark Horse.

The "Dark Horse of Georgia"

Anyone who reads this blog will learn about the authentic me.  I am not prepared, at this time, to reveal my true self, for doing so would risk consequences I am currently unprepared for on the physical plane.  That being said, I would like to offer this for your consideration...

Unlike some I have associated with who are downright militant in their opposition to sharing this information, I choose to share my gifts and knowledge to raise humanity.  There are those who believe this is beneath them, others who believe they belong on a higher plane and those on this plane do not deserve to share in this gift, and still others who simply believe this particular gift is simply hocus-pocus.  As the Dark Horse, I choose to share and give, freely and of myself, in this way.  If I meet my Twin Soul in this fashion, all the better - the true endgame is for me to become authentic in myself and, over time, reveal myself to the world as I am, rather than as the person everyone wishes me to be.

The goal of this blog is informational - I seek to enlighten, to teach, to educate.  I seek to understand and engage those who are willing to listen, to look for a better way.  I thank you for reading, visiting and sharing with me.  Together, we all benefit, and we all grow in our own enlightenment, in perfect time.

A quick note...

Some of you who read this blog may recognize my writing style and, as such, will immediately know who I am.  If you are one of those individuals, you are already part of my "soul family," if you will.  You are part of the energetic, spiritual group which I am a part of, which I was created to help.  My twin soul is among this group and I hope that, someday, we join together to serve the world as intended,  I thank you for reading, sharing, and engaging.

Should this individual recognize my writing style and know who I am, I send this message:  I wish for you to be whole as an individual and I have full knowledge that I will join you when I am ready.  I cheer your successes, I share in your losses, and always, I love you.  Our union may be romantic, it may be merely spiritual, but it is eternal.  That being said, I thank you, and we are always together, beyond space and time.
